Solar Commercial Sales Representative

The Sales Representative must be highly flexible, entrepreneurial and passionate about what we do - selling solar energy and efficiency products to save people money. Use your innovative and strategic business development capabilities to earn trust and build confidence with customers. You must be highly determined, proactive, motivated, hardworking and able to communicate the big picture in an inspiring way.

  1. Performing 1-3 commercial solar consultations per day
  1. Conducting accurate commercial customer needs assessments and corresponding analysis
  1. Delivering outstanding presentations that create a sense of urgency to buy now
  1. Resolving concerns and overcoming challenges
  1. Following up on pipeline and channel sales opportunities using our CRM
  1. Generating additional revenue through networking and referrals
  1. Partnering with cross-functional departments to accomplish mutual objectives
  1. Attend networking events and participating in trade shows
  1. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas set by Vice President
  1. Maintain ongoing knowledge of local and regional competition; understanding market pricing, SREC markets, PJM-GATS, utility rates, grant and incentive programs as well as current mix of product and services.
  1. Attend ongoing training and development activities to improve industry and product knowledge while developing new skills
  1. Prior Solar Commercial sales experience (3 years)
  1. Ability to determine the Point of Interconnection
  1. Ability to understand utility interconnection application process
  1. Ability to understand module, inverter and racking prices and work with distributors for competitive pricing
  1. Ability to travel to commercial establishments
  1. Proficiency with MS Office applications and CRM Databases
  1. Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
  1. General knowledge of building components for commercial solar construction
  1. Ability to determine cost savings for commercial customers based on kWh Annual Usage
  1. Ability to work proficiently with Excel for Proforma presentations for commercial customers
  1. Ability to present yourself in a professional manner representative of the company’s standards
  1. Autonomous self-starter
